A New Age
Rebuilding My Development Environment
Over the past few years, I’ve accumulated a random collection of projects spanning analytics, automation, investing, Raspberry Pi builds, dashboards, and web development.
Recently, after building a new PC, I had to rebuild my development environment from scratch. While it was a little painful at first, it reminded me how important it is to keep systems simple and documented.
This website was originally built with Astro, and getting everything running locally again forced me to revisit:
Git & GitHub workflows Node.js/npm VS Code setup Local development servers Project organization
I’m planning to use this site more actively going forward as a place to document projects, ideas, experiments, and lessons learned across:
investing automation AI workflows dashboards local research and building systems that compound over time
For now, this post is mostly a checkpoint: the builder workflow is back online.
